The entire book saga takes place across Astraven, a vast spiral galaxy filled with thousands of inhabited worlds, hundreds of political territories, ancient ruins older than recorded history, unexplored regions and forbidden star systems, unstable wormholes and hidden dimensions.

Book 1 begins on Veyra, a cold frontier world in the Veyran Coalition.

Much of the series takes place aboard the Wayward Star, traveling through Aether Drives, Starways, Rift jumps, Nebulae, Dead Galaxies, Dimensional Fractures and Firstborn Ruins.
